![]() This library contains virtually all of the Autodesk common materials converted to the Physical Materials Format, which can be rendered in Scanline, ART, Arnold, mental ray (in 3ds Max 20), and V-Ray. Then, download and install the Autodesk Physical Materials library from the link in this article, and see if that helps you. This contains the highest-resolution versions of the bitmaps. If so, then you can set 3ds Max to path to those bitmaps (via Customize > Configure User/Project Paths > External Files), and use the \3 folder inside the above folder path. If you've installed 3ds Max or any other Autodesk product, you should have the Autodesk Common Materials (and bitmaps) already installed in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\Textures folders. ![]()
